CREW - DJ ANTOINE SKYE

Antoine Skye started DJ'ing at the beginning of 1997. Shortly after he started Skye was heard playing at a House party and was asked to play at Rush 2, held at the workshop venue.

A few months later, Antoine went on to play at the infamous 96° in Rosebank on Sunday afternoons, where he later became resident, playing a regular set to a packed club on Saturday nights.

Towards the end of 1997 Skye was invited to play a set at the Milkyway Internet Café in Yeoville, which was to be the catalyst in his career. In March 1999 Skye auditioned and was asked to join the Free Love team which performed at the Rustlers Valley Festival later that year.

Shortly after returning from Rustlers, Skye was drawn as one of the DJ's who would support Carl Cox at the Foundation in Rosebank. Due to the exposure gained at this event, Skye was approached by Big Brother Productions to play at H2O and Substance to support KGB and Kev Bird in their Tripoli Trax SA Tour. Skye has rocked the dance floors at most of the underground parties worth playing at including Shut Up and Dance 1, 2 & 4, Free Love 1 & 2, Planet X at the Lion Park, BrainStorm Productions' D-Rail 2, Disco Supa Funk in Tzaneen by Fractal Sound Revolution and Rustlers 2000 with the same Free Love team from April '99. He has played several guest sets at Hideout and is a resident DJ for Substance.

Skye has most recently supported Gary D on his club tour of South Africa in September, as well as opening the floor at Mother's most recent Trade event. Skye has recently secured a weekly resident at one of Johannesburg's most up and coming clubs - TRUTH.

Antoine Skye is set to take SA dance floors by storm in 2001 with his funky progressive sets that keep the crowds begging for more, time and time again.
